Bangkok, Thailand – 26 October 2022 – National Telecom Public Co., Ltd. (NT) signed business cooperation agreement with Telehouse (Thailand) Ltd. to integrate technology of both organizations, that expands the most effective services through the internet exchange and connectivity both domestic and international. This service expansion is aiming to support major international technology companies in Thailand, such as content providers and internet service providers, in response to the government policy that raises the country to be the ASEAN Digital Hub.

Khun Seikson Mitkasem, Senior Executive Vice President (Marketing and Products) of National Telecom Public Co., Ltd. (NT) said that the most important task for NT through this cooperation is to provide telecommunication network in Thailand and to support the highest efficiency connectivity between countries. Moreover, we aim to continuously cooperate with telecommunications both within the country and internationally to support the needs of the users including the technology in telecommunications exchange.

This cooperation with Telehouse, the world’s leading data center service provider, is an important milestone that could help develop the exchange of information and communication both domestically and internationally. The scope of the cooperation brings two companies together to share and integrate the resources and services through the creation of communication ecosystem that can provide efficient connections to both service providers and users. NT will expand its service network by setting up equipment in Telehouse Bangkok data center, providing information exchange services such as Internet Exchange or Thailand IX which cover all connection services. This is to support the use of the Internet and information communication services both domestically and internationally using submarine communications cable and terrestrial cable systems, and to lay the fundamental infrastructures that are ready to support the investment from giant tech companies that are the international platform providers.

NT’s services cover both domestic and international connections including digital technology services combined with Telehouse’s connectivity and data center. This will increase the capability of providing data exchange services, keeping up with trends as well as customers’ needs. The major international content providers see the potential and readiness of Thailand, this expansion in the center of Bangkok results in allowing internet users with a focus on the internet connectivity bringing excellent services to clients and fully accomplish the ecosystem. This cooperation is important because it will strengthen the country’s telecommunication businesses through being the connectivity hub in ASEAN.
